20 years of continuous renewal. The Real Club Náutico, once again, was awarded the Blue Flag. Germán Soler received the badge from the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Alberto Fabra.
Since 1992 the Real Club Näutico has continuously renewed the Blue Flag that certifies the quality of her facilities and waters. Germán Soler, president of RCNT, travelled to Valencia to attend the presentation of Blue Flag for beaches and yacht clubs in Valencia. The awards ceremony took place at the Recati beach (Valencia), and was chaired by the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Alberto Fabra, who congratulated Germán Soler on obtaining the flag. The Blue Flag is an annual award and a system of environmental quality certification developed by the FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education) since 1987. It encourages and rewards participation in voluntary environmental initiatives of local authorities, people, visitors, and tourism officials. The criteria for the Blue Flag are grouped into four areas: quality of bathing water, information and environmental education, environmental management, and security facilities. The Blue Flag is awarded by an international jury chaired by the FEE with the participation of United Nations Agencies for Environment and Tourism, among the candidates selected by national juries. The jury is chaired by ADEAC, Spain (Association of Environmental and Consumer Education).
