The champions of each class will receive their trophy, sponsored by Jaume Espi, in the great celebration of Vela of the FVCV next the 9 of April
Mascarat, owned by Jose French Luis, from the RCN Castellón, fleet class; Milocha, of Francisco Jose Martinez, (RCN Torrevieja), in the Altura Class; Air du Nord, of Pierre du Groodt, the CN Campello, in the A2 Class; and the RCN Castellón, for the nautical club price, have been proclaimed winners of the 2010 Autonomous Cruise Championship of the Valencian Comunitat.
With 180 regatas, the participation surpassed 270 boats and 1,700 racers. The champion of each class will receive the trophy in the great Sailing Celebration of the Valencian Comunitat Federation on the 9th April.
The Autonomic Cruise Championship of the Valencian Comunitat returned to harvest a great success during the 2010, with more than 180 regatas throughout the year. These regatas, programmed in the Calendar of the Federation of the Valencia Comunitat, covered more than 300 days of competition, since most of the tests and trophies were made up of several manches that were sailed in different days and week ends throughout the coast of the Valencian Comunitat.
There were more than 270 participants in the regatas Fleet, Altura and A2.
As far as the sailors who took part in the Autonomic Cruise Championship were concerneed, there must have been more than 1,700 people involved.
The trophies will be presented next Saturday, 9th April, during the great Sailing Party, that this year will also commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Federation of the Valencian Comunitat in a specially important year, inasmuch as Valencia has been designated European capital of Sports.
Milocha wins in the Altura Class
During 2010, 62 units took part in the Altura Class, with a total of more it than 400 sailors participating. The victory was for Milocha, of Francisco Martinez, (RCN Torrevieja), with 274 points. Second position for Scampi 45, of Antonio Savall, of RCN Denia; and third for Itaca IX, of Galician Manuel, based in the RCN Calpe. Fourth and fifth position for Alitán, of Jose Mª Pineda, RCN Denia, and Evamarina 2012, of Joaquin Bullet, of the RCR Alicante.
