The International Federation of Sport Fishing FIPS-M (Fédération Internationale de la Pêche Sportive) http://www.fipsmer.org/index.html has awarded the Real Club Náutico Torrevieja the organization of the 5th Championship Fishing from boats at anchor. The International Federation already inserted this competition in its schedule and the sporting event will therefore be held in our town.

The World Cup will be held from 9 to 13 December next year and be a tourist-sport event of significant magnitude since in Torrevieja the best fishermen in the world will meet together with their technicians and their families who not only remain in the club, but will also generate considerable income for the tourist industry and shops in the area with visits and excursions.
Organisational experience acquired by the RCN Torrevieja in the course of its history, has brought a large number of national championships and international fishing, sailing and rowing events have been carried out in our waters, always with complete success in respect of participation and organisation.
The competitions bring together national and international athletes, and they are accompanied by their respective delegations for several days, attracted by the fine climate at the Costa Blanca, hospitality and gastronomic features of our town and its surroundings.
