On the Celebration  of Valencia Sailing, to be held on February 9, the top athletes who have excelled in the total of the 2012 Regional Championships will be recognised, but will also feature their support for Valencia as venue of the Madrid 2020 Olympic bid,  and the Pre-Olympic team be introduced.
The 34 honorees  belong to 11 Dinghy Yacht Clubs: CN Javea, Valencia RCN, RCN Torrevieja, Alicante RCR, CW Francés Hispano de Valencia, RCN Calpe, CN Oropesa, CV Dehesa, RCN Denia, UPV CV and CV Benicassim.
Among the honorees are the sailors of the RCN Torrevieja: Mercedes Fernandez in Europe, Unai Peraita Laser 4.7 Class, Team RCN Torrevieja-Optimist, and  Mara Garcia, and Guillermo Beltri of RCN Torrevieja – Radio.
The Sailing Celebration will also recognize champions of the Regional Cruise Championship, as well as athletes and Cruise Sailboats that stood out for their sporting career in national and international events in 2012.
