On Sunday March 27 the Real Club Nautico de Gandia and VI regional Mediterranean league race Trophy for fixed bank was held. The day began with calm seas but at noon there was a little wind, a fact that did not prevent the male cadets from gaining a deserved first place. It looks as if these youngsters, of the Local Rowing School and the Real Club Nautico, Héctor Rodríguez, José Mateo, Gabriel Martinez, Mykhayo Pokuytsky, Omar Bajioui, Alfonso Tapiador, José Ramón García and José Luis Albero, have taken the road to compete and a leap forward  as it is the second time they bring home a gold medal so far in the league despite being a young team that only has enjoyed a few months training.
For their part, the current champions of Spain, the veterans showed their fighting ability in a thrilling race to a third place to show that they are still here and are not willing to give up the leadership. Note also the presence of the women veterans, who managed a creditable fifth place overall. With this result they reaffirm their effort and confidence that development will be felt soon. The next meeting of this league will be within weeks in Campello. From here we congratulate coaches and athletes.
