On Sunday May 1st ,the Regional Llaüt III Championship IX Mediterranean and league race  was held in Altea. This test, the penultimate of the season, recorded a large turnout of racers from around the coast of the Valencia and Murcia communities totaling 450 participants from 19 different clubs. From the West pier of the port of Altea, hundreds of fans could see how the male cadet team of the Real Club Náutico recorded again an excellent run of form and easily obtained the top spot again. This is the fifth gold medal won by this team of young rowers in the league so far, which also has opened the door to be proclaimed regional Champions.
In the A final for veterans from the first stroke of the oars, a struggle started that would last throughout the race, thus taking home a well deserved fourth place. The Veteran women’s team in their B final withstood the competition well and got a satisfactory fifth place in the standings, which is sure to give a great moral for the next and final race of the League which will be in Denia the  8th of  May.
