The cup of Spain Europe Class meets in the Royal Yacht Cub Torrevieja with the best racers in this field.
April 21st to April 24th , the best sailors in the Europe class met in Torrevieja and completed all planned starts.
The 9 races were all different, from winds of 10 knots to a huge 22, the first day from 080 degrees, then 180 and 040 degrees on the third day. In other words a complete range of winds that have determined that the most consistent champions were the following:
David Kearley of RCN Denia at senior level, Ascension Roca de Togores of RCN Torrevieja in the female category, in Men’s Junior, Juan Calvo of RCN Denia and Mari Carmen Fernández of the RCN Torrevieja in Junior women. Thus the Torrevieja RCN and RCN Denia girls and boys dominated overall in this field.
Special mention for the entire organization by the RCNT team, with Jose Antonio Anton in charge and a Sea team with Pedro Reyes as director of racing, at sea.
During the awards ceremony, attended by Daniel Plaza, Hon. Councillor of Sports of Torrevieja, Paco Llabrés National Class Secretary “Europe” and Chairman of the RCNT Soler German, the RFEV Cup champions of Spain 2010-2011 were awarded (Result of the race held in Alicante in December and the one just ended in Torrevieja). John Calvo of RCN Denia and Alba Bou Serra of NC L’Estartit were the winners.
