Between 21st and 24th April, (the Holy Week), the RCN Torrevieja hosts the Cup of Spain in the Europe Class. In which Valencia has been featured to achieve the best results in national and international championships: two world champions (Jesus Rogel and Sven Stadel) and a team that won the Nations Cup (Sven Stadel, David Kearley and Ascension Roca de Togores ) and the European runner-up – under 17 – Mercedes Fernandez Pellicer.
The Real Club Náutico Torrevieja gives the finishing touch to become, once again, the headquarters of one of the most important national events in Sailing: Cup of Spain in the Europe class.
Meets will be during the Holy Week, between 21st and 24th April, expecting a significant line-up and great performance at sea.
The Spanish Cup in the Europe class is organized by the RCN Torrevieja and the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation with the co-operation of the Sailing Federation of Valencia and the National Secretariat of the Europe Class.
Program activities
The program activities begin on Thursday, April 21st with the opening of the Office of Race and Gear Measurement.
The competition will take place on Friday and Saturday, the 22nd and 23rd with a first warning signal at sea at 11:00 o’ clock and Sunday 24th with the meets starting at 10:30 am.
9 Regattas are foreseen for the fleet and group competition if the number of participants exceeds 71. In this case there will be an elimination and a final round. The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday 24th at 17.30, in the presence of local authorities, managers of the FVCV and members of the Board of the RCN Torrevieja.
