This morning our club was pleased to receive and entertain the sixty-five contending beauties for the Miss Intercontinental 2011 award during their stay in Torrevieja
Sixty-five beautiful and elegant women, from five continents, selected as the most beautiful to represent their countries, this morning walked the halls and jetties of the Real Club Náutico Torrevieja.
It was Gabriel Marcos Garcia, Secretary of the Board, who in the absence of Germain Soler, President of the Real Club Náutico Torrevieja, received and welcomed the candidates and the rest of the organisation members of the beauty pageant; they arrived at the club accompanied by the Provincial Deputy of Tourism, Joaquín Albaladejo, and Luis Maria Pizana, Councillor of Tourism for the City of Torrevieja, which is hosting the delegation of this International Beauty Contest in our community.
After a photo shoot and a short break for refreshments, the entire delegation could enjoy a pleasant cruise on a tourist day boat, in the bay of Torrevieja by courtesy of the RCNT who chartered it for this occasion. For more than an hour, and with the sound of Habaneras, the young beauties laughed, sang, danced and enjoyed our sea, air and the coastal scenery.
The RCNT is an organisation that has always supported any social or touristic initiative for the benefit of the city and this time both the Board and staff members made certain that the delegation’s stay in our club would remain unforgettable.
