Over 80 units and a hundred sailors gathered in the 51st Grand Trophy of Valencia, at the Valencia RCN, to contest the Cup of Spain in the Standard Laser Class, Laser Radial, Snipe and catamarans of Class A. The weather was good during the first two days but remained absent on the third. The Andalusian Guillermo Flores won the championship of the Cup of Spain, while Javier Garcia, RCN Calpe, Unai Peraita, RCN Torrevieja, the Augustine Zabalúa team and Ezequiel Gonzalez of Valencia and the Valencian RCN’s Abdon Ibanez won the regional Cups.
After two intense days of competition in which all the planned races were sailed – two a day for the Snipe and three daily for the Standard Laser, Laser 4.7, Snipe and Class A- on Monday the weather conditions did not allow racing in the 51st edition of Grand Trofeo of Valencia.
With 12 points under his belt, Unai Peraita, was proclaimed winner of the Grand Trophy Cup champion of Valencia and Regional Laser 4.7
